Hyper Heart – “Fill Me Up”

Hyper Heart

In Spring I wrote about the electro pop band Hyper Heart’s debut single “Eris”. Recently they released their second single “Fill Me Up”, offering three new tracks. “Fill Me Up” is a neat and charged electro pop song, but I enjoyed even more the beautiful buildup in the song “Swallow”, a track with a strong dramatic, filmic vibe, which caught me from the beginning til to the end.

Dream Curtain

I thought that I should end this day with some more dreamy electronica in this post. It’s Dream Curtain with the song “This Landscape Is Our Escape” which was released earlier today.

Brott och straff

Here’s a new electro pop duo who call themselves Brott och straff. A couple of weeks ago they released their first song, “Innan magin försvinner”, and they are planning to show us more songs later on during Autumn.

Call Her Kate – “Color Kay”

Call Her Kate

The duo Call Her Kate consists of the drummer Fredrik Okazaki and the guitarist Carl-Johan Bohlin, where one of them lives in Tokyo and the other one in Stockholm. Apparently the collaboration works fine in spite of the distance, as they in September released the excellent EP “Color Kay”, where they also get assistance from singers like Tomas Rusiak, Paola, Jonna Lee, Malena Uamba, Seinabo Sey and others.

Modern pop they write themselves, and it is, but an alternative, creative variation rather than a common mainstream one. You’ll find five tracks on the EP, each one with it’s own character, good melodies, unexpected harmonies and playfulness. Here below are two songs.

Treasure Season

Treasure Season

The duo Treasure Season was started by Ida and Dave when they were studying in  San Francisco in Spring. They then moved back to their home countries Sweden and England respectively, continuing their music collaboration. So far they have released an EP and a single, with dreamy electro pop with lo-fi sound or chillwave/glo-fi as they decribe it themselves.
