Death Team – “Death Team Loves You” EP

Death Team

The duo Death Team, Mayka Edd and Johan Tilli, have released their debut EP, “Death Team Loves You”, from which you can enjoy a few tracks here below. It’s an irresistible collection of electropop songs where they use much of their palette of naive cheekiness, playfulness, humour and sincerity. You can smile at the images they paint or just dance away without thinking about anything. They don’t complicate things, and I often recognize the melody hooks and the sounds, but still they sound like nobody else.

Axel Wikner

Axel Wikner

Axel Wikner is 16 years old and produces dance music, mostly house but also some odd genres like moombahton. Not my cup of tea usually, but I felt for a diversion today. Axel started playing around with music software last year, but after he discovered that his music was being played on clubs it took a more serious direction. He has now released a couple of singles and the EP “Modern Talking”. Here’s the latest song, “Sub Bomb”.

Million Faces – “Dreams Are Waiting (That African Song)”

Million Faces

Million Faces is the name of a new house duo, who today released the song “Dreams Are Waiting” (That African Song)”, a happy and catchy pop tune you can listen to here below. I don’t know much more about these mask-wearing gentlemen right now, more than that they are working with John Ballard, the same man who discovered Ace of Base during the nineties.

Paaniq – “Heads In the Ditch”

Paaniq

So far I haven’t presented that much dance-beats here on the blog, but something made me stop for the duo Paaniq’s debut EP “Heads In the Ditch”, which was released during summer. Hard to explain, maybe it’s the special atmosphere in the songs, or the good melodies, the dynamics and the variations or the attitude in their dance-pop-electronica. It’s impossible also to resist the line “Chuck Norris is like gravity – don’t fuck with it!” in the song which bears the actor’s name. Listen for yourself on one of the songs here below.
