Here’s a new excellent electropop single from Boeoes Kaelstigen, the second single from the forthcoming album. I wrote about the first single “Be the Lights” in Spring.

I wrote about Stefan Klaverdal and his interesting blend of classical music and electronica last year. Earlier this Autumn he realeased another album “Evocations”. Again it’s about this mix of beautiful stings and ambient components, where the electronic parts range from being subtle ingredients to being the main course of the song. It’s fascinating to listen through his album as it changes from beautiful melodic songs to pure ambience to more experimental songs where you can feel the friction. It’s of course quite personal how you will experience this music, but to me it gives me a sensation of a shifting Autumn, emphasized also by a slight melancholic tone and a richness of colours in the music. The band Kastrup, hailing from Malmö, released their debut single “Lydia” in Summer. They write that they were on their way of quitting after the release as it felt too hard to to reach out to people. But after the song made it into the Swedish radio show “P3 Osignat” and its list, they found the energy to continue and also discovered new ways to the listeners. Here’s “Lydia”, a nice, melodic pop song with a big sound.

The duo O U F, which should be read Our Underground Firm, last month released their debut track “Crisis (feat Chris Haxa)”, a different hip hop song, dark, a bit industrial, heavy with ominous effects and pitched vocals. O U F consists of the rapper Compulsive and the producer Isolas, who is also producing the electronica duo For BDK.
