Act Utd, who presented the single “Religio” earlier this year, later released the song “No More of July”, just before summer. And even if I recognise them in this sort of dreamy electronica, it’s a different vibe in this song, with a romantic theme and a touch of touch av R’n’B.

And here’s a couple of songs from the electronica duon Sameblod and their EP “Swoon”, which was released in the beginning of summer. Beautiful, colourful and grand.

In April I told you about Nude Party’s single “Indie“, so I think it’s only fair to tip about the EP where the song finally found it’s home, the excellent”Ingratitude Is The Worlds Reward”. Strangely enough my favourite track from the EP shifts each time I listen, but right now it’s “Thank You For Nothing”, a song they describe as a celebration to bitterness, noise, tubas, accordions, pears and falsetto choirs.

Esaias Orchestra, with members from both Malmö and Copenhagen, released the EP “Words” in Spring. The title probably tell us something about how central the song poetry is for the singer and songwriter Esaias Grina. That doesn’t stop the band from backing up the lyrics with some carefully arranged music: an airy, playful, melodic indie with traces of folk, which with the beautiful strings and horns makes a quite unique mix.

Alice Boman recorded sketches of songs at home to remember her song ideas, and for the fun of it. Her curiosity of how it would sound if it was recorded in a proper studio grew, though, and she sent the tracks to Emil Isaksson at Studio Möllan in Malmö. Through him the recordings reached the engaged group of people at Adrian Recordings, who became so fascinated with her music that they wanted to release it, but not in a new dress, but just like it was.

The EP “Skisser” (“Sketches”) was then released in May with these homerecorded songs, fragile, beautiful and alsmost hymnlike. And I think that they fit even better now during this early Autumn, where the ground in the nearby forest is slowly being covered with falling leaves, colouring the ground in brown, yellow and rusty red tones, while a certain stillness from the Autumn descends. Maybe Alice and the others agree with me as the EP will also be released on vinyl later in September. Listen to the EP here below.
