The duo Malin Dahlberg and Marcus Bergman, hailing from Göteborg, met in the band The Greencoats, got to know each other well there and started writing songs together in Spring 2012. Now we can enjoy the result of this in two tracks on a new single with their project Ceremonies. Two songs that grow with each listen I must say; songs with nice and efficient melodies and a grand dramatic eighties’ sound combined with a certain indie vibe.

King Melodies recently released the debutalbum “I Am the Devil”. Martin Bäcklin is the man behind King Melodies, and he has earlier released four EP:s with this project. And as the name implies, the melodies are very much in focus here (together with Martin’s characteristic voice which makes me think somewhat of Janne Kask from Brainpool); there are quite few beautiful ones in this lo-fi shimmering Americana-influenced indie pop. Ensamhushåll started out in 2007 as a duo but grew into a quintet during 2010. In 2011 they participated on the album “Ensamericana”, a record made for the benefit of the homeless in Skåne, in the south of Sweden, and now in the beginning of 2013 they released the two-track single “Stunden”, carefully produced by Jon Rinneby. It’s pleasant, naked, melancholic pop in Swedish with roots that dip into the eighties’ space as well as into Swedish seventies’ pop and love drama from the sixties.

Here’s a couple of songs from Simian Ghost’s EP “Autumn Slowmo”, which was released just in the end of last year. A great EP, which finishes with the wonderful “Dizzy Spells”, a new favourite of mine.

The duo David Lehnberg and Elin Lindfors in The Deer Tracks are back with the third and last part of their album trilogy in that they released “The Archer Trilogy Pt. 3” a week ago. It’s a very beautiful, snow sparkling journey from minimalistic, magical ambiences to exuberant arena fanfares. Sweet, creative and unmistakably The Deer Tracks. Here are two tracks from the album.
