Graveyard has released a new single and music video as a first taste of the upcoming album “Lights Out”, which will be launched on October 24th. It’s called “Goliath”, and serves a lot of vibes of classic blues hard rock:

Tobias Bergbom has changed the name of his solo project Lovers Forgive Me to Förlåt, (Forgive Me) and during summer he also released the first single under the new name: the romantic-nostalgic “Staden river ner våra minnen”.

Peter Högklint – “Här och nu”

Peter Högklint

Peter Högklint has played in a number of bands since the eighties. He hasn’t released anything as a solo artist, though, until now. The EP “Här och nu” (“Here and Now”) was released during summer, which is a first taste of the full length album, which will be released later on.

To me this sounds Springsteen from the beginning to the end. And he performs it with his own splendid energy, and I really feel that he loves to be where he is. First of all I’m thinking live concert when I hear this; if he can get close to the energy they manage to convey on these songs, it’ll guarantee a great rock party with a lot of sing-a-longs in the choruses.

Hello Confusion – “London” – video

September 19, 2012 at 9:53 pm

Hello Confusion is a band that I really like, and I have posted about them a couple of times before. It’s been a couple of years, though, since I’ve heard from them, so it was great to hear from them again and read about what they’re up to next.

First, this song and video, “London”, which they describe well themselves as a disco driven arena song with vibes from the eighties, lush guitars and strong melody. Obviously it was also used in Swedish television during a collage over the winners from the Olympic games.

Furthermore, they tell me that they will release one new song each week from October 15th to Christmas eve. 11 songs all in all. A fun and ambitious idea, that I will try to follow up on.

Nomethod Records tipped me last week about Soviac’s new video “Uutiset”. The song is taken from Soviac’s upcoming album “Back album”, which you can listen to in advance here. “Uutiset” means news in Finnish.
