Patrik Torsson
I can hardly attempt to describe Patrik Torssons music. It doesn’t sound like anything I’ve listened to before and he also moves around a lot in the musical landscape.
Lately Patrik has been quite productive when it comes to releases. In the autumn he released the piano-minimalistic “Evaporation” and at the same time the dark and tense electronica-EP “Jag är himlavältaren” and now he’s about to release the album “At the Line of the Border” in the US, through the label Saint Marie Records.
He’s building strong ambiences with few ingredients and his voice enters like a low-voiced, almost whispered comment to the theme, even if he sometimes surprise me with a melodic choir in the middle of it all. Quite special. You can listen to these releases on his Bandcamp page.
Here’s the title track from the EP “Jag är himlavältaren”:

Konträr is a solo project by Linus Sundin Eriksson. I’d say it’s about jazz, where electro jazz meets acoustic, hammond and other intruments. It’s beautifully combined and creates a special atmosphere.
On New Years Eve the duo Lilla Sällskapet released their two track debut single “Genova”. 10 more songs are underway, which I suspect will be the content of a debut album coming up later this year.
