Wouie

Wouie

Here’s a new interesting duo, Wouie, who some week ago showed their first two tracks to the world. Pop it is, with the feet set in both guitar indie pop and electro pop, with quite a dose of the eighties’ large rooms and distant vocals and choirs. Victor and Linus are the first names of the two members, and there’s not much more info than that, but I have a feeling we will hear from them soon again.

boerd – “Harbinger”

boerd

Yesterday the producer and musician boerd, aka Bård Ericson, released the EP “Harbinger” and follows up on last year’s album “Cerebrum”. It’s about instrumental electronica, a multifaceted one, constantly moving, on the border between chillout and ambient. It sort becomes a soundtrack of the day where the beautiful, crisp and glittering textures accompanies a bright winter’s day where the snow has just covered the ground with a thin layer. On two of the songs we can also hear vocals, performed by Ellen Arkbro.

New music from Filago, Dödens Dal, Rainmode and Eternal Death

January 15, 2014 at 6:25 pm

Filago

Here’s some of the harvest from today of new exciting music with two artists I’ve written about before and two new acquaintances.

Filago is a a  Swedish/French/Belgian trio who recently released their debut EP, an EP with an interesting mix of indie pop, folk and eighties’ vibes. Here’s the starting track “Funnel”:

Today the duo Dödens Dal are showing us another track, “Ingenting förändras” (“Nothing Changes”), from the upcoming record. The album “Korsa Jord, Luft, Is” will be released on the 26th of February.

The electro pop duo Rainmode have released their second single “The Foghorn” today. The first single “Buckle Up” from the Autumn made us long for more, and the band promise more singles soon and a debut album later in Spring.

And finally the debut single from a band with the ominous name Eternal Death. It’s called “Head”, an electro pop/disco song which takes the eighties’ reverbs to new heights. Worth noting is that the band’s debut came last year with the video “Eternal Death“, a video which consists of four minutes of total silence and darkness.

Moist – “Worlds Collide”

Moist

It’s been four years since I wrote about Moist, or David Elfström Lilja which is his real name. Since then he’s released a full length album and is on his way with the second one, which will be released during Spring. As a first glimpse of what’s coming up he’s presenting the single “Worlds Collide”, with a suggestive, melodic electro pop. Maria Marcus is the lead singer on the song as she’s been in earlier song collaborations.

Rainmode

Rainmode is a new duo with the members Martin Alexandersson and Henrik Skanfors. Martin with his roots in the electronic DJ-world and Henrik coming from the singer/songwriter-genre meet up in this new single, “Buckle Up”, a catchy dance-vibing electro pop track, which you can listen to here below.
