The Nature – “Din medicin”

The Nature

When the band Alouatta was put on hold, two of the members, Robert och Zeta, decided to do something on their own, completely without any rules or reins. André from Östermalm/Makabert Fynd joined them and The Nature was born. This Autumn they released their debut album “Din medicin” (“Your Medicine”) which also very much sounds  of unrestrained rock, noisy, garage-sounding and sometimes punk vibing. Joy Division, Wired and Brända Barn are mentioned as comparisons, but to get a sense of what they’re doing they describe it best themselves when they explain how the music was created:

We wanted to do something, and we wanted to do that something without any reins or rules. To play in a band often means that someone tells us what to do and what not to do. Now there were the three of us, and the only rule was not to stop any ideas or feelings.
During the first rehearsals we were like kids in a candystore full of feedback, reverb and whatever we felt for. The happiness in the smoking breaks was complete.
Gradually songs began to appear from small parts within chaotic jams and a band was starting to take shape. The music has no real guidelines and no specific style, We do what feels good and that’s enough for us.
