Skånske Arne & Jonny Spöge – “Telenorförsäljare”

October 1, 2012 at 10:41 pm

I wrote about Skånske Arne & Jonny Spöge in Spring as they released their debut album. Their annoyance with phenomenons in everyday life is by no means over, though, and now they are back telling us about one of the biggest ones: telemarketers. Specificially it’s about mobile phone telemarketers in the song “Telenorförsäljare” (in Swedish I’m afraid)
I should also mention that the duo also have started a blog, where they release a song each week, which could be worth checking out if you like the band.

Skånske Arne & Jonny Spöge – “Mitt i natten”

Skånske Arne & Jonny Spöge

A year after the debut single “Gula lådan” Skånske Arne & Jonny Spöge now have released their debut album “Mitt i natten” (“In the Middle of the Night). You’ll find 15 songs of rock’n’roll from Skåne on the album. Some of them we’ve heard before and some are new, and apparently they want this to be an all-year album as we can find both Christmas songs and summer songs in the track list. Here below you can listen to a reflection of a summer’s morning and the band’s description of near-life experiences.

You can visit the band on their site and on Facebook. You can find the music for example on Spotify and on Wimp.

Christmas special 2011

December 19, 2011 at 6:54 pm

Snowman Bokeh (Explored) 9,500 visits to this photo. Thank you.Every year I present some new Christmas songs in a post, and this year’s no exception. If you’d like to check out the songs from earlier years you can check them out here: 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Have a wonderful Christmas!

First up is ad dios. They have produced Christmas songs every year since a few years back, and now finally they have made a collection of these, together with new ones, on the album “Season of Tranquillity”. Here’s the opening track:
In the Bleak Midwinter

I wrote about Slottet and their new EP “Servants” a couple of weeks ago. Here’s their Christmas contribution:
A Cold Christmas

The Higher Elevations released their Christmas song in 2006, but since I haven’t presented it before, I thought it would fit perfectly in today’s post:
All These Winter Nights

Acid House Kings with their new Christmas single:
(I’m In) A Chorus Line

Finally a contribution from Skånske Arne & Jonny Spöge who with “Kanske tomten har Facebook” (“Maybe Santa has Facebook”) finish a productive year with this follow-up to their debut singel “Gula lådan“:
Kanske tomten har Facebook

Edit 20/12 2011 – added the new Christmas single from Acid House Kings

Skånske Arne & Jonny Spöge – ny låt

SAJSHere’s a flash about a new song from Skånske Arne & Jonny Spöge. It’s the provocative “Min Nettobutik är o-lidl-ig” (“My Netto supermarket is unbearable”), a song that was among the first songs they wrote together and a taste of an upcoming EP.

You can find Skånske Arne & Jonny Spöge on their site.

Skånske Arne & Jonny Spöge – “-Kommande Fantastiska…”

May 17, 2011 at 12:22 pm

Skånske Arne & Jonny SpögeLuckily we didn’t have to wait too long for the new music from Skånske Arne & Jonny Spöge, whom I wrote about a little while ago. Recently they released their debut EP “-Kommande Fantastiska…” (“The upcoming fantastic…”)

They continue to strike, with surgical precision, at remarkable situations in our society, and hacked Hotmail accounts as well as TV cooking shows are being targeted. The EP ends, though, with the autobiographic “Pappas Lapp” (“Daddy’s note”), but even that song contains a certain amount om complaining.

Here below you can listen to “Äta på kåppra” (“Eating at kåppra”), a nostalgic complaint from the times where you could eat at Konsum’s restaurant, and you were sitting there with a queue number in hand but couldn’t really hear from the speakers which numbers they announced. Something many of us have experienced.

They continue on the musical route they started with “Gula lådan”, with their retro rock from Skåne. Listen more on Spotify or on their site.
