Rebstar finally released his awaited debut-EP about a week ago. It’s called “You Know Nothing About Love” and contains 6 tracks produced by the trio Saint, Madison and DJ Pain 1. His tone of voice has varied quite a bit on the earlier singles, but here he is signalling with a foghorn at the very start in the first track that he means business. This is far away from the joyful playfulness and pop-hooks in “Thing About You”, and he feels serious, direct and personal. The productions are great and varied to each track, and Saint impresses me again with his minimalistic style in the new track “All I Know”. Simply a brilliant debut EP with a lot of food for thought. And now hip hop from Malmö with Rebstar. He has just released the new single “Reputation”, and has also promised to deliver his awaited debut EP in November. “Reputation” is also the debut for young Saint as a producer, a debut which promises a lot for the future in this bassdriven track.

Rebstar follows up on his hip hop-single “Thing About You” with this video, where he gets kidnapped spit at and wrapped in plastic, wearing a tiger costume.

Rebstar rushes un towards his debut album “Girls Like Nicole” with the new single “Thing About You”. This time it’s more of a pop arrangement with a catchy chorus, but still unmistakably Rebstar’s a bit playful and toungue-in-cheek-rap.

I wanted to make a record that you can listen to in your headphones with your eyes closed, and still see everything I’m saying.

The Malmö rapper Saint has released two more tracks in the Autumn while we’re waiting for his debut album “Asylum”, which is supposed to come out in the end of this year. On the song “For Life” Rebstar, his colleague on the label Today Is Vintage, also contributes.
