Today the song “Det börjar med mig” by Fatta Man was released. Fatta Man is a project talked about in Sweden which aims to work against the destructive malehood norms and also influence the way music and culture can be a driving force in the change of these norms. The song is written and performed by Erik Rapp, Zacke, Adam Tensta, Parham and produced by Nils Svennem Lundberg and Adam Taal.
Rebstar follows up on his hip hop-single “Thing About You” with this video, where he gets kidnapped spit at and wrapped in plastic, wearing a tiger costume.
The band Bellaroush, hailing from Göteborg, usually creating music with their own blend of hip hop, reggae and pop, has just released the new single “The Sun Goes Down”, featuring no less than Promoe. And it’s a great song they have created, maybe the best I’ve heard from them, with a dark, charged vibe and a lovely retro-patina over the sound. It certainly sets the expectation bar high for their debut album, which will be released in February. The video is made by Tildeh Hjelm.
Here’s the Danish trio Mont Oliver who released their debut EP “19” about a week ago. They have put together their very own mix of hip hop-beats, trip hop and pop, fronted by Jakob Hammershøj’s smooth soul voice. The biggest exclamation mark is found in the title track “19”, a track that radiates quite a special ambience from the hip hop beat, the pop melody and most of all the the electronic background which kind of looms over it all, foreboding. Here is “19” plus the finishing song “Golden Glow”:
The duo O U F, which should be read Our Underground Firm, last month released their debut track “Crisis (feat Chris Haxa)”, a different hip hop song, dark, a bit industrial, heavy with ominous effects and pitched vocals. O U F consists of the rapper Compulsive and the producer Isolas, who is also producing the electronica duo For BDK.
