Filip Lundgren – “Allting är historia”

Filip Lundgren

Filip Lundgren is preparing for his upcoming album release with this new single, “Allting är historia”. The song feels like an obvious sing-along favourite on his future gigs and reminds me quite a bit of Broder Daniel in the chorus. With the song he wants to remind us to really se what’s happening around us, here and now, and urges us to act now to prevent history from repeating itself with racism and fascism holding us in its cold grip.
The debut album “Där Inget Annat Finns” will be launched on the 16th of October.

Club 8 – “Love Dies”

Club 8

Johan Angergård is continuing an incredibly productive year, where he’s released albums with both The Legends and Eternal Death, by releasing the ninth album from Club 8. As before Karolina Komstedt is by his side on the upcoming record “Pleasure”, which will be out on November 20th. Here’s a first taste in the shape of the single “Love Dies”, a beautifully melancholic synthpop vibing song. After a quick prelisten of the the album I can say that there are plenty of high class electropop in the same spirit to look forward to if you like this single.

Akiine – “Paranormal Activity”

Akiine

Akiine is back with a new single, “Paranormal Activity”, which is also a taste of her upcoming EP “Neptune”, to be released on the 30th of October. The song feels like trip back to where I first heard her in a minimalistic music with her soft soul voice at the front. There’s a shimmer of retro patina over her vocals, like if she were a Billie Holiday of the 10’s, but at the same time I get the feeling that she comes from a different dimension, a dreamy, hypnotically beautiful and warm dimension. The best I’ve heard so far from Akiine.

Kastrup – “Come and Get Me”

Kastrup

The duo Kastrup have released a follow-up to the their single “Thieves“, released in Spring, with the new song “Come and Get Me”. This time they pick up some speed and head out on a electropop adventure in a rock tempo, which reminds me a bit about The Killers. They are still the same romantics, though, with their fondness of drama and big deciding moments. Absorbing their music is in a way like seeing your life as part of a movie, which sure can be a pretty cool experience. I have a special soft spot for their last song, the more sentimentally coloured “Thieves”, but there’s no doubt that they have produced another song with hit potential with “Come and Get Me”.

Immunförsvaret

They were chased away from Svartvattnet all the way down to the capital and landed with a bellyflop in Mälaren. Now you can watch the exciting sequel to the last video. With both a serious and a humouros mind they head right into Stockholm and invite us to join their groovy sing-a-long in “Kukhuvudstaden”. Here is the music video, which has its premiere right here on Meadowmusic today.
