Hanna Järver – “Smutsen”

Hanna Järver

During the last year Hanna Järver has been a member of the bands Gazebo Gathering and Reversin, both from Stockholm, but in Spring she started working on her own solo project. A first taste of what it’s about can be heard on the new EP “Smutsen” (“The Dirt”) with it’s three songs. It’s a minimalistic soulful electro pop in Swedish, but yet so ambient and captivating, fragile and beautiful. Right now she’s in Budapest, together with the producer Norbert Lukacs, to write and record more material. During winter she will return to Stockholm to play live with her band.

Wallenberg – “When Strangers Meet”

Wallenberg

It’s been a few years since I wrote about Wallenberg, an art collaboration of music, images, clothes and performing art with Nosslo-Grebnellaw Aniluap in the front. Here’s a new single, “When Strangers Meet”, with a french-vibing sensual electronica.

Andreas Söderström och Johan Berthling – “Hotell”

Hotell

It happens now and then that I describe music as filmic, like if it was part of a soundtrack to a movie, but it’s rather unusual that I present music that is actually written for a film. But today I have some real film music to show you with Andreas Söderström’s and Johan Berthling’s beautiful music to Lisa Langseth’s new film “Hotell”. It’s music that can stand on it’s own legs, with which we can can dream away for a little while and create our own images. Here in Sweden the film has it’s premiere in the beginning of October.

Here’s a fun hip hop-song from PH3, “Även undergången går över”, taken from their upcoming album “Moderna tider”. (I’m afraid that any attempt of trying to translate the title is likely to miss the target)

Lifer

Some long jumps between genres today, and next up is har rock/metal band Lifer. They seem to have something interesting going on, with a raw and dirty sound I like. A first taste is out with the two-track debut single “Rise”. Check out the video to the title track here below.
