Here’s the first song from electronica trio DNKL: “Hunt”. A mesmerising song with a suggestive, dreamy ambience and a beautiful buildup.

And here’s the indie pop duo The Sweet Serenades with a brand new single, “Take It All”. A straight-on-pop with many of the ingredients that form their unique and recognisable sound. The song is a first taste of their upcoming EP “Stand By Me”, scheduled for release in November.

E321 is a trio from Västerås, whose music I’d like to place in the post rock domains, with some influences from progressive rock and fusion. Here it’s not about verse-chorus-songs but longer pieces of musical exploration of various moods around a certain theme. It’s mostly instrumental, but they add some thoughts with spoken word-like vocals. It’s music that grows with each listen as I get into the songs more and more. Listen for yourself here in “They Call Us Human” from their EP “Among the Trees”.

We’ll stay in the eighties with one foot for this post, in post punk, Jesus & Mary Chain, Bauhaus and mix this with chanting shoegaze and psychadelia. That’s how the Malmö band Ra‘s debut ep “Bloodline” sound to me, an EP that was released this summer. Here’s the title track.
