ismael – “Stjärnan du var”
It’s been a couple of years since I wrote about the band ismael. Then they had just released an EP, and after that I didn’t hear from them until now, as they released a new single last month, “Stjärnan du var”. It’s a quite good-looking, well-arranged pop song, with a sticky chorus and which reminds me about Swedish po from the end of the eigthies with LeMarc, Staffan Hellstrand and others. Overall the sound feels refreshed, which is promising for the new album they say they are recording now this Winter.
