Delta Dreamflight is a new band from Stockholm who released their debut EP, “Vacations”, this Autumn. And it was hard not to like their uplifting indie pop from the three tracks on the EP. It’s three songs with a different character to each one, where they start with the positive “We Believe In You”, with pop stomp and a sticky chorus which makes you sing along the first time you hear it. It’s followed by a piece of dreamy pop in “Don’t Forget to Bow”, full of lovely maj7-chords and a comfortable atmosphere, and they finish with “Wake Up”, a song where the dreamy meets with Jens Lekman’s retro pop. In short a very strong debut from a band I don’t know that much about, more than where they’re from. Listen below to two of the songs.
