Golden Kanine – Scissors & Happiness

Golden KanineAfter a couple of months of vacation here on Meadowmusic, I thought it was a good idea to get started again. I have loads of great artists in store to write about.

First up, a favourite from last year, Golden Kanine, a band that recently released their debut album “Scissors and Happiness” (Stargazer Records). An album that even exceeded the high expections I had, after having listened to the tracks they presented earlier.

They continue here on the path with a more accoustic sound, with horns, mandolins and more added to the setup, moving a few steps away from the guitar-based indie rock they showed before. You’ll find a lot of fantasy, variation and strong melodies in this indie pop/rockish, folkish, wonderful music.
