The Resonance – “Introspection”

The Resonance is a new name but not a new band, formerly known as Tvivelfront and MeadowMusic wrote about their EP in May, but from another author so this is new to me. And now they’re releasing a whole album including the songs from the EP. The opening track starts off with an awesome sounding guitar and the singer sounds a little like the dude in Depeche Mode. The song is just nice and it has a strong chorus with a solid sounding band.

The first and the second song is both strong but then it tends to even out a bit I’m afraid, but bare in mind that this is their first LP and I think this band has great potential to grow. I’m really looking forward to hear more from these guys indeed.

Pär who wrote about them the last time, described them as an early The Cure but with a little Broder Daniel in it and I think I agree with him there.

Tvivelfront

TvivelfrontThe band name Tvivelfront sounds almost like punk rock to me. The music though, which is sung in English, has a little punk in it, but feels more like a raw and rockish variation of The Cure, with a touch of Broder Daniel.

On their EP “Kid Ikarus”, which was released in March, I find three tracks with a basic, distorted sound with a nice live feeling. You can visit Tvivelfront’s site or Spotify to listen to all three songs. Here’s the title track:
