A little more than a year ago I wrote about the duo The Loveable Tulips and their collaboration with producer Jari Haapalainen. Now they’ve released a new three-track EP, “Streets”, this time with Johan Eckerblad as the producer. And there is a different vibe to these songs, where they have changed the big rooms for a more intimate atmosphere and more from the sixties than from the eighties.

Streets

The duo The Loveable Tulips consists of Pia Påltoft and Pernilla Axerup. They have started a collaboration with the  producer Jari Haapalainen and together they have forged a grand sound with choirs and tempting pop melodies as a foundation.

If I would try to describe it I’d say that it feels like a mix of Bananarama, ABBA and Phil Spector with a small dose of Enya. Listen for yourself in a couple of tracks here below.
