About a year and a half ago I wrote about Olof Svenblad’s music project Teleskop. Now he’s working under the name Fallen Timbers instead, and this year he’s presented a rich material in two albums on his Soundcloud page. I think it’s a collection of great electronica based songs which grows the more I listen.

The name Fallen Timbers comes from a poem by Sylvia Plath and Olof says that the image of a forest after a storm appealed to him, with the logs on the ground like spillikin and the clear-cut areas.

The artist Olof Svenblad calls himself Teleskop when he turns on his synths and produces a pop-electronica with some retro vibes.

TELESKOP may sound like as when you have been spending too much time thinking about the depths of the universe and have a hard time letting the thoughts go away, and at the same time you miss someone you like very much and it’s summer, a warm and fantastic summer and it’s in the middle of the night or early in the morning because the sky is not black but red, pink orange, blue and turquoise.
