Adna is a pleasant new acqaintance who released two singles during Summer and last year her debut EP. She has just finished high school and is now focusing on the music, first of all on the debut album which is being released in the end of this year, from what I understand. Quiet and soft, but far from insecure, accompanied by echoing guitars from the eighties, she slowly moves inte my room with her folk-vibing singer/songwriter songs, which grows upon me each time I listen. I will certainly be interesting to listen to her debut album.
We’ve become used to Turn Off Your Television releasing an album each Autumn, and this year’s no exception. “Save All the Liars” is the name of the new album, which will be released on November 21st. As a first taste they are showing us the title track today, which will be followed by another two songs in the weeks to come before the release.
I wrote about Guiseppe Velasco’s EP debut “Heart Away” a year ago. In the Summer he released the single “Summertime”, a song that is most definitely still worth listening to.
I thought I’d stay a little longer among Summer singles I haven’t hade the time to write about yet. Here’s Like Swimming, a trio with members from the band You Say France & I Whistle. So far they’ve released two singles with quite catchy indie pop:
Here’s a piece of catchy, dance friendly electro pop from songwriter and singer Malin Bylund. She’s from Stockholm but moved to Los Angeles in 2010 to study vocals, where she now lives. This is her first official single, if I may call it that, but you can hear several more songs on her Soundcloud page.
