Min Stora Sorg, or Ann-Sofie Lundin which is her real name, is back with a new single and video, “Jag står kvar”. It was a year ago I wrote about her wonderful debut EP, and now she’s underway with her first full length album, which is coming out in the beginning of 2014. Min stora sorg is Ann-Sofie Lundin’s solo project, and recently she released her debut EP. I could describe the EP as fragments from a diary in a psalm format, accompanied by a school piano and a choir. It’s naked and liberatingly stripped, and works all the way. Interestingly the songs are not built according to the traditional pop structure with verses , bridges and so on. Instead it’s more like in dance music where the song is growing more and more.
The song and the video below, “Svarta ögon” was released in summer as a first single, and is present on the EP as a so called Live Edit version.
