Today we have a song premiere here on the blog. It’s the band Honeymilk who tomorrow will release their new single “This Time Around (The Gods Won’t Save Me)”. It’s their second single after their debut in the Autumn with “It Might Be”, and I think they sparkle even more in this new song where they sound like an indie reincarnation of The Kinks. A great song. Listen for yourself here below..
Drivvedsfolket, whom I wrote about last Spring, have released the new single “Födelsedag” (“Birthday”) with two tracks where they blend contagious guitar figures, dance rhythms and garage distorted riffs. They feel Bob Hund-odd in their own special way.
Albin Johansson’s project Pal, which I wrote about a year ago, has developed more into a band than a solo project. To show us how they sound now they recorded a couple of songs at Studio Möllan in Malmö during the Autumn, and filmed the session. You can watch the result here below in two beautiful videos.
It’s been quiet about the band iOktembera couple of years now. In the end of last year, though, they finally released a new collection of songs retaining much of of their characteristic emotional Autumn indie. Here’s the song I liked the best, “This Reflection Bears No Recemblance”.
