The duo I Used To Be A Sparrow consists of Andrea Caccese and Dick Pettersson who released their second album “You Are An Empty Artist” during Spring. It’s a different experience they have created with their own version of dense, dreamy indie rock with a big sound and smooth melodies embedded in the clear, ringing guitar layers. Last Lynx, hailing from Stockholm, set fire on parts of the music blogosphere in the beginning of this year with their laidback, soul funk-pop single “Killing Switch”. They followed up on this during Spring with the excellent, 8 track long, EP “Ocean Reels”; full of contagious indie pop, ornamented with crispy electronica, nice grooves and smooth melodies.

The band Könsförrädare (“Gender Betrayer”; if you don’t speak Swedish it will be next to impossible to pronouce it) released their debut EP during Spring. They are described as a mix of Sonic Youth, Butch Wig and riot grrrl, which you can hear below in one of the songs from the EP, “Death to Stories”.

Here’s Rooni with their third single, the catchy “Ambulance”, a song in the same spirit as the earlier ones, with their own mix of indie pop and retro-vibing power pop. The best song so far I think.

The five member strong band Alexandria, hailing from Stockholm, published this dreamy pop-track during Spring: “Whatever”, recorded in their rehearsal room.
