Here’s a new band from Stockholm, Locals, who’s just released their first single. “Millions of Ghosts” is the name of the song and presents som quite pleasant, catchy indie pop. They write:

Behind a black door in a Stockholm subway station we find the heart of Locals. Concrete and plywood walls meet Portland, sunglasses and the melancholy Swedish cold. The band are the creators behind Stockholm’s new club sound that sounds classic indie meet an electronic dream world.

Joachim Dahlbergs Vindkraft has grown rapidly from a one man project to a duo to a five-membered band with a traditional setup. They get their influences from Swedish progressive tradition, jazz, rock, folk, which can be heard on this first single, the dramatic, lively, progressive rock-vibing “Tankekraft”.

Here’s a video premiere today with Pierre Dackmo, whom I wrote about in April. He’s going to release his next song “Du om någon” in the end of July, and as a precursor to the single he’s showing us another part in the “Berlin Sessions” series, songs he recorded acoustic in Berlin last year.

Jonas Linngård, who is one half of the electro pop duo Kids, has also started a solo project. He calls it Kontroll, and last month he uploaded a first taste of what it’s about. “A State of Emotional Imbalance” is the name of the song, a fun, eventful instrumental electronica you can listen to here below.
