The Percivals

The PercivalsThe Percivals , hailing from Göteborg, released a couple of weeks ago their second album “The Percivals”. I haven’t listened to them before, so I can’t compare with their first album. But here I find that they firmly takes us back to the sixties’ british rock scene when The Kinks and The Who was at their heights, and that they also make some escapades across the Atlantic and give hints of some inspiration from early country rock like in “Man With the View” here below.

They sort of squeeze out some of the best parts from this sound from the sixties’ and from the songwriting, with the right amount of dirt and with a singer that lets his voice crack at the right places. It’s a strong and even album which becomes almost liken an exposé over the time when the rock just started to divide in different genres.

You can enjoy the album on Spotify and you can find The Percivals on Facebook and on their site.
